North Wales Dragons Tournament
On Sunday 7th June 2015, the Wrexham Warehouse Project will be entering a team into the North Wales Dragons Football Tournament, based at Llandrillio College, Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay.
The aim of the tournament is to bring people together through sport to raise money for a number of chosen charities. Each player on the Wrexham Warehouse team will be raising funds for the warehouse to support its many training, employment and campaigning programmes and events that are aimed at disadvantaged young people including those experienced substance misuse, homelessness an unemployment.
The Wrexham Warehouse team will be competing against several other teams in the tournament hosted by North Wales Dragons and will be decided on a league table bases to bring home the trophy.
The football team will consist of individuals from the projects young person committee, public volunteers and young people volunteering from the training courses provided by the Wrexham Warehouse Project. The team is completely managed by young people and in itself provides skills, a sense of community, health and fitness opportunities for young people.
